Is it Necessary to do a Gender Test to Caster Semenya?
| August 25th, 2009
SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
Caster Semenya is a South African athlete who had a great performance last week in the 800-meter run at the world championships in Berlin where she won a gold medal and broke a world record. However, a big controversy was created because some people are not sure whether she is a man or a woman; therefore, they requested a "gender test" for Semenya to "make sure" she is indeed a female. What do you guys think about this issue? Is it necessary to do that gender test?

Thanks for sharing this article. Well – perhaps after the Caster Semenya magazine cover the debate should be over. The Caster Semenya magazine cover certainly has let people see her with a makeover, and she appears very feminine. However, according to rumor, a leak of the gender test results the South African sprinter had to undertake revealed that she is a hermaphrodite. True hermaphroditism is when an organism has both male and female reproductive features and organs. In humans, there are numerous ways in which some form of sexual diffusion can occur, some relatively benign, and some crippling. Either way, the Caster Semenya magazine cover might lead some to think that online payday loans towards finding her gender might be ill spent.

that's discrimination ! I cant believe that she was required to get a gender test. if they werent sure, they should have asked her before the competition, not after getting the gold medal
