The enormous headaches of NBC

To use a phrase popular in the 1980s... NBC is hosed. Where last spring and summer the network had thought they solved all their programming problems and ushered in a new era of television, they are now literally scrambling to make sure they have a slate of late night talk shows to air and personalities to host them. While they work on that, executives are trying to determine how to fill the five hours of empty programming that The Jay Leno Show leaves in its wake once its canceled on February 12th. On top of all that, the network is gearing up for the Winter Olympics, which looks to lose over $200 million dollars. Possibly more if viewers really decide to stay away after everything that has taken place.

In an article at CliqueClack TV, the current situation at NBC, and its consequences, is discussed. Needless to say, if the network doesn't do something quick viewers could be watching shows like Chuck, The Office, and 30 Rock on one of NBC Universal's cable networks.
